“Prepare the way of the Lord in the wilderness; make a straight highway for our God in the desert.” — Isaiah 40:3 (HCSB)
Philippians names us citizens of heaven. Hebrews says this world is not our home. Exile Gaming adds the line the church keeps dropping: but it is where we game.
It is a journal for players standing in the no-man’s-land — the church still suspicious of the medium, the industry still cool to the faith. Exile exists to show that gaming and faith have gone together, do go together, and will keep going together while this field becomes the Hollywood of tomorrow.
Awareness, not a newsroom
What Imladris is doing
We bless this road. We do not colonize it. Working the beat — reporting week in and week out — is still on the back burner. Raising the signal is not.
Read the journal. Forward an issue. Tell a player who thinks they have to choose. If you can fund a reporter and a little promotion, that chair is open.
What the journal watches
Products — games made by believers.
People — professionals who will not split craft from calling.
Pilgrims — streamers and makers who carry the story in public.
Programs — schools training the next generation to do this for a living.
Paladins — the old bright spots, so no one can say it has never been done.
Promos — the sales, the betas, the rooms you can actually walk into.

You Can Help
When Exile was started we didn't know if we could find enough stories to fill a quarterly newsletter. Scores of stories later and we're pretty sure we're onto something. Now we're ready to scale and expand. We are seeking $15,000 to expand, speed up, and promote this vital aspect of Imladris' vision.
